MANDAKINI HOUSE
Mandakini is a tributary of alaknanda. It originates from the charabari glacier near kedarnath. It is fed by Vasukiganga River at sonprayag. It joins alaknanda at rudraprayag. The prefix "Mand"(Sanskrit) means "calm" and "unhurried". Thus Mandakini signifies, she who flows calmly.
